Laser Scar Removal is a quick and safe way to reduce scars. Laser Scar Removal is specially usefulfor scars such as acne scars that are difficult to remove. Laser is used to evaporate the outer layer of the scar tissue and stimulates the growth of new tissue from underneath. The most common technologies used in this Non-Surgical cosmetic procedure are CO2 and Er:YAG lasers.
Dermabrasion is just like polishing the skin by erosion of the rough and thick scar tissue. This is a good method to treat old scars and keloid formations. By this method an abrasion tool is used to mechanically resurface the skin and make it smooth. This is a very effective method especially when used in conjunction with other scar removal methods.
Microdermabrasion is the more advanced also the more popular dermabrasion since it acts on the topmost layer of the scar and abrades it. Lighter scars that are not deeply rooted in the skin are removed by this method. Microdermabrasion smoothens the scar and is effective in reducing the pigmentation that is caused by the scar.
Punch Excision & Skin-grafting is useful in removing deeper scars. This is a cosmetic micro-surgical method which combines cutting the edge and top of the scar, the mini wound is stitched and then skin is grafted over the scar.
Dermal Fillers are used in the cosmetic scar removal procedure to reduce the deep pits caused by scars such as acne marks or pock marks. Usually collagen and hyaluronic acid derivatives are used as fillers in reducing these scars
